அர்ப்பணிப்புக்கு மறுபெயர்தான் பி.சி. ஹம்ஸா

நாடு முழுவதும் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான மாணவ, இளைஞர்களை சத்திய மார்க்கத்தின் இராஜபாட்டையில் வழிநடத்தி, அவர்களின் சிந்தையிலும் செயலிலும் அதிரடி மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி, இறைவனின் உவப்புக்காகவும் மறுமைவெற்றிக்காகவும் அனைத்தையும் அர்ப்பணிக்கின்ற இலட்சியக் கனலை அவர்களுக்குள் கிளர்ந்தெழச் செய்த முதுபெரும் மாணவர் தலைவர், சத்தியப் போராளி, இலட்சியப் பயணி பி.சி. ஹம்சா 21 ஜூன் 2018 வியாழன் அன்று நள்ளிரவில் கேரளத்தில் இறைவனிடம் மீண்டுவிட்டார். (இன்னா லில்லாஹி வஇன்னா இலைஹி ராஜீஊன் - திண்ணமாக நாம் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியவர்கள். திண்ணமாக அவனிடமே நாம் திரும்பிச் செல்வோராய் இருக்கின்றோம்).

அவருடைய மறைவு பற்றிய செய்தி பரவத் தொடங்கியதும் உத்திரப் பிரதேசத்தின் உன்னாவ் கிராமத்திலிருந்து மேற்கு வங்கத்தின் முர்ஷிதாபாத் வரையிலும் குஜராத்தின் கரையோரங்களிலிருந்து அஸ்ஸாமின் மலையோரங்கள் வரையிலும் ஆந்திரத்து தெலுங்கானா முதல் கர்நாடகம், தமிழகம் வரையிலும் தலைநகரமான தில்லியிலிருந்து அவர் பிறந்து வளர்ந்த கேரளம் வரையிலும் கண் கலங்கியவர்களும், புன்னகை மாறா அவரின் முகத்தை மனக் கண்களில் கொண்டு வந்து நெஞ்சம் நெகிழ்ந்தவர்களும் ஏராளம். ஏராளம். அனைவருடைய மனங்களிலும் நிலையான இடத்தை ஆக்கிரமித்துக்கொள்கின்ற வசியமும், ஈர்ப்பாற்றலும் பெற்றிருந்தார் அவர்.

‘மனிதர்கள் அனைவரிடமும் ஏதேனுமோர் தனிப்பண்பு மிகைத்திருக்கும். அந்தப் பண்பைக் கொண்டு நினைவுகூரத்தக்க அளவுக்கு அவர்களின் வாழ்வில் அந்தப் பண்பு மிளிரும். பி.சி. ஹம்சா சாகிபை நினைவுகூரும்போதெல்லாம் மனத்தில் தோன்றுவது அவருடைய அர்ப்பணிப்பும் கடின உழைப்பும்தாம்’ எனச் சொல்கின்றார் ஜமாஅத்தே இஸ்லாமி ஹிந்தின் அகில இந்தியத் துணைத் தலைவர் சையத் சஆதத்துல்லாஹ் ஹுசைனி. உண்மைதான். ‘அர்ப்பணிப்புக்கு மறுபெயர்தான் பி. சி..!’என்கின்ற அளவுக்கு தம்முடைய இரவையும் பகலையும் உழைப்பையும் ஒய்வையும் ஒட்டுமொத்த வாழ்வையும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட இலட்சியத்திற்காக முழுமையாக அர்ப்பணித்துவிட்டிருந்தார் அவர்.

எளிமையானவர். பழகுவதற்கு இனியவர். ‘1990-இல் அவர் முதன்முதலாக பீகாருக்கு வந்தார். முதல்முறையாகச் சந்திக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் ஏதோ காலங்காலமாக தோழமை கொண்டிருக்கின்ற உணர்வோடு உற்சாகமாகப் பழகி, இனிமையாகப் பேசி, சிரித்து இதயத்தில் நிலையாக தங்கிவிட்டார்’ என்கிறார் பீகாரின்  ஷப்பீர் ஆலம்.

 ‘We need Quality not Quantity  தரம்தான் தேவையே தவிர எண்ணிக்கை அல்ல என்று கான்பூர் கூட்டத்தில் அவர் சொன்னதை நினைவுகூர்கின்றார், அஸ்ஸாம் மாநிலத்து அபுல் ஹஸன். ‘தமிழகத்தில் களம் காலியாக இருக்கின்றது - இஸ்லாமிய இயக்கம் முழுமூச்சுடன் களம் இறங்க வேண்டும்’ என 1989-இல் அவர் சொன்னது இன்றும் காதுகளில் ரீங்காரமிடுவதாக நெஞ்சம் நெகிழ்கின்றார் வெல்ஃபேர் பார்ட்டியின் மூத்த தலைவர் எஸ்.என்.சிக்கந்தர். 

‘நான் அவரை முதல்முறை சந்தித்த போது கனிவான அண்ணனைச் சந்திக்கின்ற உணர்வில் திளைத்தேன். பல்லாண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு சந்தித்த போது ‘என் பெயர்..’ எனச் சொல்லி முடிப்பதற்குள், ‘உமைர் பாய், எப்படி இருக்கின்றீர்கள்?’ என முந்தையச் சந்திப்பில் விட்ட இடத்திலிருந்து சிரித்த முகத்துடன் தொடங்கிவிட்டார் அவர். வரிசையின் கடைசியில் நிற்பவனையும் நல்ல முறையில் அறிந்திருப்பதுதான் தலைமைக்கு அழகு. ஒரு நல்ல தலைவரை இன்று இயக்கம் இழந்து நிற்கின்றது’ என்கிறார், முன்னாள் எஸ்ஐஓ செயலாளர் உமைர் அனஸ்.

‘உடனுக்குடன் முடிவெடுக்கின்ற அவருடைய ஆற்றல்தான் இன்றும் என் நினைவில் நிற்கின்றது’ என்கிறார் தில்லி எஸ்ஐஓ முன்னாள் தலைவர் அயாஸ் இஸ்லாஹி. ‘அவரைப் போன்ற கடின உழைப்பாளிகள் எவரும் இருக்க மாட்டார்கள். எப்பேர்ப்பட்ட இக்கட்டான சந்தர்ப்பங்களிலும் அவர் நிதானம் இழந்ததில்லை. புன்னகையுடன் எல்லாவற்றையும் எளிதாக சாதித்து முடித்துவிடுவார்’ என்கிறார் முன்னாள் எஸ்.ஐ.ஓ பொதுச் செயலாளர் ஐ. கரீமுல்லாஹ். 

‘ரோஜா மலரின் இதழைப் போன்ற மென்மையான இதயம் கொண்டவர் அவர். அதே சமயம் கொள்கை, கோட்பாடு என்று வருகின்ற போது எஃகினைப் போன்று உறுதிமிக்கவர் அவர்.’ என்கிறார் முதுபெரும் சமுதாயத் தலைவரும் மில்லி கெஜட் இதழாசிரியருமான டாக்டர் ஜஃபருல் இஸ்லாம் கான். ‘இதய நோய், டயாபிட்டீஸ், மிகை இரத்த அழுத்தம் என பற்பல நோய்களுடன் போராடி வந்த அவரை புற்றுநோயும் தொற்றிக் கொண்டது. அந்த நிலையிலும் அவர் தொடர்ந்து மும்முரமாக இயங்கி வந்தார். மாதக் கணக்கில் குடும்பத்தாரை விட்டு தலைமையகத்தில் தங்கிச் செயலாற்றி வந்தார். மலையாளம், உர்தூ, ஆங்கிலம் ஆகிய மும்மொழிகளிலும் அவர் புலமை பெற்றிருந்தார். அவருடைய மறைவு கட்சிக்கும் இயக்கத்துக்கும் மிகப் பெரும் இழப்பாகும்’ என நெஞ்சம் நெகிழ்கின்றார் வெல்ஃபேர் கட்சித் தலைவர் டாக்டர் சையத் காசிம் ரசூல் இல்யாஸ்.

இறக்கின்ற நாள் வரையில் அவர் வெல்ஃபேர் பார்ட்டி ஆஃப் இந்தியாவின் அகில இந்தியப் பொதுச் செயலாளராக பாடுபட்டு வந்தார். 1980 களின் இறுதியில் சத்தியப் பாதையில் இலட்சியப் பயணத்தைத் தொடங்கிய அந்தப் போராளி போகாத ஊர் இல்லை. போராடாத களம் இல்லை. இளமைத் துடிப்பும் கொப்பளிக்கும் பேரார்வமும் இலட்சிய வேட்கையும் நிறைந்த இளவலாக இயக்கத்தில் இணைந்த நாள் முதலே பெரும் பெரும் பொறுப்புகள் அவரைத் தேடி வந்தன. 1986-இல் முதன் முதலாக மாணவர்களின் அகில இந்திய மாநாடு நடத்தப்பட்ட போது அதற்கான அனைத்தையும் செய்கின்ற பொறுப்பு அவருக்குத்தான் தரப்பட்டது. அதற்காக அரசு வேலையை உதறிவிட்டு வந்தார் அவர்.

படம்: இடமிருந்து மூன்றாமவராக கைகளைக் கட்டிக் கொண்டு அமர்ந்திருப்பவர்தான் பிசி ஹம்சா. 

(‘அமைதி, முன்னேற்றம், ஈடேற்றத்துக்கு இஸ்லாம்’ என்கிற மையக்கருத்தில் நடந்த அந்த மாநாடு இயக்க வரலாற்றில் ஒரு மைல்கல்லாக அமைந்தது. புகழ்பெற்ற பாடகராக இருந்து இஸ்லாத்தை ஏற்ற யூசுப் இஸ்லாம் கலந்து கொண்டதும் அந்த மாநாட்டில்தான். இரண்டாம் நாள் இரவில் பெருமழை பெய்ய, கொட்டும் மழையில் மௌலானா அப்துல் அஜீஸ் சாகிப் உருக்கமாக உரை நிகழ்த்த, மாணவர் பட்டாளம் சற்றும் கலையாமல் ‘அடாது மழை பெய்தாலும் விடாது பணியாற்றுவோம்’ என உலகுக்கு உரத்துச் சொன்னதும் அந்த மாநாட்டில்தான்.) அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து எஸ்.ஐ.ஓ அகில இந்தியத் தலைவராகத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட நாடு முழுவதும் எண்ணற்ற மாணவ, இளைஞர்களின் வாழ்வில் நீங்காத தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தினார் அவர். தொடர்ந்து கேரளத்து அமீரின் தனி அலுவலர், மாநில ஆலோசனைக் குழு உறுப்பினர், மாநிலச் செயலாளர் என அவர் மீதான பொறுப்புகள் கூடிக்கொண்டே போயின.

ஒரு கட்டத்தில் மீன் டைம் என்கிற பத்து நாள் பத்திரிகை (வார இதழாகவும் அல்லாமல், மாதமிரு முறை இதழாகவும் இல்லாமல் மாதம் மும்முறை இதழாக) தொடங்கப்பட்ட போது, அதற்கான நிதி, நிர்வாகம், இதழாசிரியர் என எல்லாப் பொறுப்புகளும் அவர் மீது சுமத்தப்பட்டன. மணலில் கயிறு திரிக்கின்ற அந்த சவால் நிறைந்த பணியையும் மனமுவந்து ஏற்றார் அவர். ஆனால் வாய்ப்புக்கேடாக அந்த முயற்சி தோல்வியில் முடிய, அதன் வலியையும் வேதனையையும் தனி மனிதராகச் சுமந்தார் பி.சி. ஹம்சா.

அதன் பிறகும் அவர் துவண்டுவிடவில்லை. வெல்ஃபேர் கட்சி தொடங்கப்பட்ட போது அந்த சவால் நிறைந்த பணியிலும் அவர் சற்றும் தயங்காமல் தம்மை முழுமையாக ஈடுபடுத்திக் கொண்டார். அது மட்டுமல்ல, கேரளத்தில் ஏராளமான அறக்கட்டளைகளிலும் அவருடைய பங்களிப்பு இருந்தது.

இவ்வாறு வாழ்வின் இறுதி மூச்சு வரை அமைப்பு, இயக்கம், ஊடகம், கட்சி என வெவ்வேறு தளங்களில் மும்முரமாக இயங்கி வந்த அவர் தம்முடைய 62ஆம் வயதில் இறைவனிடம் மீண்டுவிட்டார்.

அல்லாஹ் அவருடைய பாவங்களை மன்னிப்பானாக. சுவனத்தின் உயர்ந்த தோட்டங்களில் அவருக்கு இடம் அளிப்பானாக. ஆமீன்.

It is the unique documentary of its kind. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has been striving in India for the establishment of Divine law in all aspects of life. It has attracted millions of noble souls and changed and shaped their lives. It continues to attract and mould countless human beings throughout the nook and corner of this country.

It has produced many stalwarts and stars. Moulana Abdur Razaq Latheefi is one of them. When we, a handful of youth and students made the goal of establishing Deen as our mission he was not in the scene. But, we grew up hearing moving, soul stirring anectodes about him. As we had Moulana M A Jameel Ahmed and Moulana H Abdur Raqeeb who never get tired of narrating anectodes from the life of Moulana Abdur Razaq Latheefi Sahib. Hence Latheefi Sahib is not alien to us.

But, still, we could not get the full picture. We had never seen his photograph. We never knew how he looked like.

Here is a documentary on the life and times of Moulana Abdur Razaq Latheefi Sahib. It is informative, inspiring and good. Scores of leaders and veterans of the Islamic movement introduce you various aspects of this towering personality. S. M. Malik Sahib's version would continue to echo in your mind : "Moulana used to undertake tours after tours. He used to remember the names and addresses of three hundred members. He never needed a file or assistant." It is simply amazing. Nowadays in this age we have become addicted to our cell phones, computers. Sometimes we tend to forget our own numbers.

Moulana Abdul Azeez Sahib and Moulana Sirajul Hasan Sahib extol the leadership quality of the late Moulana. Shakeel Anwar Sahib sheds light on his milli qidmat. Scores of his sons including Br Abdur Raqeeb Latheefi, my friend, remember him passionately.

Some reflections on the death of Moulana A Khutbudeen Ahmed Sahib: Muqeet Mujtaba Ali

Muqeet Mujtaba Ali, a long time associate, student and friend of Moulana A Khutbudeen Ahmed Baqawi Sahib writes the following:

Sitting in silence I recall my meeting with him at his house about four months ago. He compelled me to have tea with him. Neither he nor I knew that we were meeting for the last time.
Just a week ago, he had been to Singapore to meet his daughter there.
His wife and other children who wished him a happy journey never even dreamt that he will never come back.
Those who saw him off at the airport never knew that they were seeing him off forever.
The man, who is no more now, never knew that he is not going to meet his near and dear ones again. That his flight to Singapore was the last flight of his life!
His daughter in Singapore never knew that her father has come all along from Chennai to Singapore with an invisible ‘kafan’ wrapped over his body.
None realised that Allah was preparing for his burial in Singapore.
The deceased was a great scholar of Islam. He was the author and translator of many books in Tamil. His great contribution was the translation of Qur’an in Tamil language.
I pray to Allah to forgive all his sins and grant him the highest place in Jannah. Aameen.

Some Points to Think and Act Upon:
1. Death is certain. None can escape death. So I and you must be wise enough to prepare for the life after death.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلْتَنْظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ [٥٩:١٨
O Believers! fear Allah and let every person look and consider what he sends forward for the morrow. Fear Allah; Allah is well aware of all that you do. (Al-Hashr 59: 18)

2. The time of death is destined by Allah, the Giver of life, and the Taker of life. Neither the time of death can be advanced, nor can it be postponed.

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللَّهُ النَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِمْ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ وَلَٰكِنْ يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ [١٦:٦١
Were Allah to take people to task for their wrong-doing, He would not have spared even a single living creature on the face of the earth. But He grants them respite until an appointed term. And when that term arrives, they have no power to delay it by a single moment, nor to hasten it.(Al-Nahl 16: 61)

3. The Place where one will die is decided already by Allah. None except Allah knows the place of every man’s death.

…وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ …[٣١:٣٤
No soul knows in which land he will die!(Luqman 31: 34)
Kuthbudeen Sahib spent his entire life in Tamilnadu, India. His death was destined in Singapore. So Allah took him there in the evening of his life.
We must realise and understand very well that Allah drives a person out of his house and takes him to a place where he is destined to die, and he dies there.

… قُلْ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ لَبَرَزَ الَّذِينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَتْلُ إِلَىٰ مَضَاجِعِهِمْ ۖ ….[٣:١٥٤
Say: ‘Even if you had been in your houses, those for whom slaying had been appointed would have gone forth to the places where they were to be slain.’ (Al Imran 3 : 154)

4. Most important thing for a Muslim is to die in the state of Imaan.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ [٣:١٠٢
Believers! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and see that you do not die save in the state of submission to Allah.(Al 'Imran 3: 102)
This ayah, along with other verses, is recited during Nikkah, marriage sermon. Brides and bridegrooms are reminded of death even during the happiest occasion of their life: Your happiness is not permanent. Nor is your life! Prefer that which is permanent over that which is transitory.

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا [٨٧:١٦
وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ [٨٧:١٧
Nay! but you prefer the present life, whereas the Hereafter is better and longer lasting. (Al-A'la 87: 16-17)

6. நவம்பர், 2011. ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை.

தியாகத்திருநாள் நன்றாகக் கழிந்தது.

படுக்கப்போவதற்கு முன்பு வழக்கம்போல மின்னஞ்சல் பெட்டியைத் திறந்தபோதுதான் அந்தச் செய்தியைப் படித்தேன்.

மௌலானா குத்புத்தீன் அஹ்மத் பாகவி மறைந்துவிட்டார் என்கிற செய்தியை நண்பர் அனுப்பியிருந்தார்.

இன்னாலில்லாஹி வஇன்ன இலைஹி ராஜிவூன்

பெருநாள் அன்று மட்டுமே இருக்கக்கூடிய மகிழ்ச்சியும் மனநிறைவும் அந்தக் கணத்திலேயே அகன்றன.

இதயத்துக்கினியவர் எவராவது இறந்துபோகும் போது சோகம் மனத்தைக் கவ்வத்தானே செய்யும்.

மடியில் இருந்த கணிணித் திரையைப் பார்த்தவாறு உறைந்துபோனேன்.
அறையும் வீடும் நிசப்தத்தில் உறைந்திருக்க மௌலானாவைச் சந்தித்த அந்த நிமிடங்கள் மீண்டும் மனத்திரையில் ஓடின.

நான்கு மாதங்கள் கூட ஆகியிருக்காது.

வழக்கம்போல ஜமாஅத் அலுவலகத்திற்குச் சென்று எல்லோரையும் பார்த்து விசாரித்த பிறகு மௌலானாவைச் சந்திப்பதற்காக அவருடைய வீட்டுக்குப் போனேன். வற்புறுத்தி தேநீர் குடிக்க வைத்தார். அவரும் சரி, நானும் சரி தேநீருடன் அளவளாவிய அந்த மாலை வேளை தான் நாம் ஒருவரையொருவர் சந்திக்கின்ற கடைசி வேளை என்று இம்மியளவுகூட எண்ணிப் பார்க்கவில்லை.

மீண்டும் கணிணித் திரையில் தெரிந்த அந்த வலைப்பூ வாசகங்களை வாசித்தேன்.

ஒரு வாரத்திற்கு முன்பு தான் அவர் தனது மகளைப் பார்ப்பதற்காக சிங்கப்பூர் போய் இருக்கின்றார். கடல் கடந்து நெடும்பயணம் கிளம்பிய அவரை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அனுப்பி வைத்த அவருடைய குடும்பத்தார் அதுதான் அவருடைய கடைசி பயணம் என்கிற விவரம் தெரிந்திருக்கவில்லை.
விமான நிலையம் வரை சென்று அவரை வழியனுப்பி வைத்தவர்கள் அவரை நிரந்தரமாக வழியனுப்பிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றோம் என நினைத்தும் பார்த்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

இனி இயக்கத் தோழர்களையும் குடும்பத்தாரையும் மீண்டும் சந்திக்கின்ற வாய்ப்பே தனக்குக் கிடைக்காது என விமானம் ஏறிய அவருக்கும் தெரிந்திருக்கவில்லை. அந்த விமானப் பயணம் தான் தனது வாழ்வின் கடைசிப் பயணம் என்றும் நினைத்துக்கூடப் பார்த்திருக்க மாட்டார்.

சிங்கப்பூரில் இருக்கின்ற அவருடைய மகளுக்கும் சென்னையிலிருந்து சிங்கப்பூர் வரை பறந்து வந்திருக்கின்ற தனது தந்தையார் எவருடைய கண்களுக்கும் புலப்படாத கஃபன் துணியைக் கட்டிக் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றார் என்பது தெரியாமலே போயிற்று. 

சிங்கப்பூரில் அவருடைய நல்லடக்கத்திற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை அல்லாஹ் செய்துகொண்டிருந்தது எவருக்குமே தெரிந்திருக்கவில்லை.

மௌலானா குத்புத்தீன் அஹ்மத் பாகவி நாடறிந்த எழுத்தாளர்; பன்னூலாசிரியர்; மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர். திருக்குர்ஆனை தமிழில் மொழிபெயர்க்கின்ற பணியில் அவருடைய பங்களிப்பும் பங்கேற்பும் மகத்தானது. அல்லாஹ் அவருடைய நற்பணிகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வானாக! அவருடைய பாவங்களை மன்னிப்பானாக! ஆமீன்.
அவருடை மரணம் எழுப்பிய சில சிந்தனைகளை இங்கே பகிர்ந்துகொள்கின்றேன்.

சிந்திப்போம்! செயல்படுவோம்!

 1. மரணத்தைத் தவிர்க்க முடியாது.

மரணம் நிச்சயமான ஒன்று. எனவே, அந்த மரணத்திற்காகவும் அதன் பிறகு வரவிருக்கின்ற மறுமை வாழ்வுக்காகவும் நீங்களும் நானும் தக்க ஆயத்தங்களைச் செய்ய வேண்டும். இந்த விஷயத்தில் விழிப்புடன் செயலாற்ற வேண்டும்.

இறைநம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! அல்லாஹ்-வுக்கு அஞ்சுங்கள். மேலும், ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனும், நாளைய தினத்திற்காக எதனைத் தயார் செய்து வைத்திருக்கின்றான் என்று பார்க்கட்டும். அல்லாஹ்-வுக்கு அஞ்சிய வண்ணம் இருங்கள். நீங்கள் செய்யும் செயல்கள் அனைத்தையும் திண்ணமாக அல்லாஹ் அறிபவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.                     

(அத்தியாயம் 59 அல்ஹஷர் : 18)

2. உயிரைக் கொடுப்பவனும் இறைவன்தான். உயிரைப் பறிப்பவனும் அவனே. அவனே மரணத்திற்கான தேதியையும் நேரத்தையும் குறிக்கின்றான். அதனைத் தவிர்க்கவோ, தாமதப்படுத்தவோ, தள்ளிப்போடவோ, முடியாது.

மனிதர்கள் இழைக்கும் அக்கிரமங்களுக்காக அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை (உடனுக்குடன்) பிடிப்ப-தாயிருந்தால், பூமியில் எந்த உயிரினத்தையும் அவன் விட்டு வைத்திருக்க மாட்டான்! ஆயினும், ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட தவணை வரை அவர்களுக்கு அவன் அவகாசம் அளிக்கின்றான். பிறகு அந்த நேரம் வந்துவிடுமாயின் ஒரு வினாடிகூட அவர்-களால் பிந்தவும் முடியாது; முந்தவும் முடியாது.                              (அத்தியாயம் 16: அந்நஹ்ல் : 61)

3. ஒருவர் எங்கே எப்படி மரணமடைவார் என்பதை இறைவன் ஏற்கனவே தீர்மானித்து விட்டான்.

 இறைவனைத் தவிர வேறு எவருக்கும் அது பற்றிய தகவல் தெரியாது.

தான் எந்தப் பூமியில் மரணமடைவோம் என்பதும் எந்த மனிதருக்கும் தெரியாது.                                 (அத்தியாயம் 31 : 34)

மௌலானா குத்புத்தீன் அஹ்மத் பாகவி சாகிப் தம்முடைய வாழ்நாள் முழுவதையும் தமிழ்நாட்டில் தான் கழித்தார். ஆனால் சிங்கப்பூர்தான் அவரது மரணக்களம் என ஏற்கனவே தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. இதனால் அவருடைய வாழ்வின் கடைசி நாட்களில் அல்லாஹ் அவரை சிங்கப்பூருக்கு எடுத்துக் கொண்டு போனான்.

ஒருவர் எந்த இடத்தில் மரணமடைய வேண்டும் என்று விதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றதோ அந்த இடத்திற்கு அல்லாஹ் அவரை அவருடைய இடத்திலிருந்து கிளப்பிக் கொண்டு போகின்றான் என்பதை நாம் நன்றாகப் புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும்.

நீர் கூறும்: ‘நீங்கள் உங்கள் வீடுகளில் அடைந்திருந்தாலும் யாருடைய விதியில் மரணம் எழுதப்பட்டு விட்டதோ, அவர்கள் தம் மரணக்களங்களை நோக்கி வந்தே தீருவர்!‘                        

(அத்தியாயம் 3: ஆலுஇம்ரான் : 154)

4. மரணிக்கும்போது இறைநம்பிக்கை இருக்கின்ற நிலையில் மரணிக்க வேண்டும். இதுதான் எல்லாவற்றையும் விட முக்கியமானதாகும்.

‘இறைநம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்ச வேண்டிய முறைப்படி அஞ்சுங்கள். மேலும் நீங்கள் முஸ்லிம்களாக அன்றி மரணமடைய வேண்டாம்.                                 (அத்தியாயம் 3 ஆலுஇம்ரான் : 102)

இந்த வசனம் நிகாஹ் குத்பாவில் திருமணச் சொற்பொழிவில் ஓதப்படுகின்றது.

அதாவது மணமக்களுக்கு மரணம் குறித்து நினைவூட்டப்படுகின்றது. அவர்களுடைய வாழ்வின் மிக மிக சந்தோஷமான வேளையில் மகிழ்ச்சி பொங்குகின்ற தருணத்தில் அவர்களுக்கு மரணத்தைக் குறித்து நினைவூட்டப்படுகின்றது.

இதற்கு என்ன பொருள்?

உங்களுடைய இந்த மகிழ்ச்சியும் சந்தோஷமும் நிலையானதன்று. அது போலத்தான் உங்களுடைய வாழ்வும். எனவே நிலையில்லாத இந்த வாழ்வை விட நிலையான மறுமை வாழ்வுக்கு அதிக முன்னுரிமை தாருங்கள்.

ஆனால், நீங்கள் இம்மை வாழ்வுக்கே முன்னுரிமை அளிக்கின்றீர்கள். உண்மையில், மறுமையே மிகவும் மேலானதாகவும், நிலைத்து நிற்கக்கூடியதாகவும் இருக்கின்றது.                              (அத்தியாயம் 87 அல் அஃலா : 16, 17)

5. பின்வரும் துஆவை ஜனாஸா தொழுகையில் மட்டுமின்றி அடிக்கடி ஓதுவதை நாம் பழக்கப்-படுத்திக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

‘இறைவனே! நம்மில் உயிருடன் வாழ்வின் எவரையும் இறைநம்பிக்கை உள்ள நிலையில் வாழச் செய்வாயாக! நம்மில் மரணிக்கின்ற எவரையும் இறைநம்பிக்கை உள்ள நிலையில் மரணிக்கச் செய்வாயாக!

எனக்கு இன்னொரு துஆவும் மிகவும் பிடிக்கும். யூசுப் நபி செய்த துஆ அது:

வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் படைத்தவனே! நீதான் இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் என் பாதுகாவலன். நான் இஸ்லாத்தில் இருக்கும் நிலையிலேயே என்னை மரணிக்கச் செய்வாயாக! மேலும் என்னை ஒழுக்கசீலர்களுடன் சேர்ப்பாயாக!                                  

(அத்தியாயம் 12 : யூசுப் : 101)

அல்லாஹ் நம் அனைவருக்கும் இறைநம்பிக்கையின்படி வாழ்கின்ற, அந்த நிலையிலேயே மரணிக்கின்ற நற்பேற்றைத் தந்தருள்வானாக! அதறகான வழிகாட்டுதலையும் நல்லருளையும் தந்தருள்வானாக!

Moulana A Khudbudeen Ahmed Baqawi at Kumbakonam Ulema meet

Moulana Khudbudeen Ahmed Baqawi, former Muawin Ameer-e-Halqa of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Tamil Nadu is no more. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiwoon. He breathed his last in faraway Singapore today evening. He had gone there to be with his daughter there. It is said that he suffered a massive heart attack which proved to be fatal. He was admitted at UYISN,KOON TECK PUAT HOSPITAL in Singapore for treatment. Eventually he breathed his last there.

Moulana Khudbudeen Ahmed Baqawi is a legend here. He was involved with the translation of The Holy Quran. It was his magnum opus.Moulana undertook this noble task under the active encouragement of Moulana M A Jameel Ahmed Sahib when there was no translation available in Tamil. Now we have dozens of translations available in the market.

Moulana Khudbudeen Sahib's contribution in the Tamil literary field is enormous. He has translated many books in Tamil. He is from Aravakurichi and got attracted to the Islamic movement when he was serving as a Imam in Villivakkam, Chennai. Moulana S M Malik of Hyderabad who was residing in Chennai then introduced him the revolutionery message of the tahreek. Moulana M. A. Jameel Ahmed Sahib identified and nurtured his talent in translating books.

Besides Moulana has trained, groomed and evolved many activists to the Iyakkam. Br T. E. Naser. Br Sheikh Dawood, Br Ashraf Ali and scores of youngsters were groomed by him. One of his star product is our own Br S. N. Sikkander, the present chief of Welfare Party of India. It could be said that an entire generation of youngsters got inspired by him. There was a time when not a single tarbiyati ijtema would be held without his speech or dars. His room in the IFT complex served as the training centre for all of those who had got attached with the Iyakkam. Moulana is very soft spoken. He had his own way of giving lectures. He was very amiable. He was very humble and polite and as they say in Tamil he would never அதிர்ந்து பேச மாட்டார். He would argue for his point of view. But, he would never fight. He used to lead the salat in Jamaat Office. He had this unique voice. His Qirat was exceptionally good and mellowing.

He was also proved to be Qutb of deen in the sense that he was steadfast in the way of Allah. He was a model for Azeemath. Being a alim he could have easily charted his own way and reaped much more and more benefits. But the tahreeki chap (Iyakka muthirai) was imbibed him such a way that he prefered Azeemath over Ruksath. He never cared about his family, sons, daughters. His only care was of the tahreek and its mission.  He was of the 'old generation' who prefered mission over everything else.

It is very difficult to think that he is no more. Two or three weeks back he came to see me. We had tea. We discussed a lot. Moulana shared some of his personal thoughts and plans. He declared that he had resigned from the post of Principal of Jamia Kulliatus Salam with his charecteristic smile and shining eyes. He said in the same breath that he had not resigned from the Jamaat and would continue to strive for the Nasbul ayn of the Jamaat till the last breath.

May Allah grant him Jannat ul Firdaus. Ameen.

Moulana A Khudbudeen Ahmed Baqawi who passed away yesterday was laid to rest in  CHOU CHU KANG, MUSLIM CEMETERY in Singapore after Zuhr prayer around 2.00pm. Moulvi A Zafarullah Rahmani lead the Janaza prayer. Zafarullah Rahmani has been closely associated with the late Moulana for the past three decades. In an email Zafar Sahib said:

Just returned from qabrasthan after Tadfeen was over.

A group of young ulama helped me in performing the ghusl and takfeen of marhoom Mawlana Qutub Sahib.

I did lead the Janazah prayer. And then a brief condolence meeting was also held there. The late leader's service to the Islam and his zeal for grooming the younger generation was recalled.

No one thought to take a snap of the face of deceased Mawlana . Everybody had I phones and mobile with them. But nobody thought of taking a snap. Perhaps it was the will of Allah. Manshiyat e ilah? 

Every one in the Jamaat were unanimous in one point: ie Qutb sb looked like in a deep sleep in peace. Just like a "Nafs  e mutmayinnah"

Moulana Ejaz Ahmed Aslam Sahib led Qaibana Janaza prayer was held in Chennai.

A Qaibana Janaza prayer for the departed soul was organised in Chennai. It was the day of Eid-ul-Azha and a large number of the members, karkunan, muthafeeqeen converged in the Masjid-e-Ikhlas, Perambur High Road, Jamalia at Asr. It was a sheer coincidence that Moulana Ejaz Ahmed Aslam Sahib was in the city. He was here on his way to Benares to attend an interfaith conference organised by Budhists there.

Moulana delivered a short, concise and moving speech before the Janaza Prayer. He recalled his forty years of companionship with the Moulana. "He was soft spoken, humble and totally devoted to the cause of Islam. He devoted his entire life in the cause of Islam. We have to emulate this trait and totally dedicate ourselves to the cause of Islam", he said.

மெளலவி குத்புதீன் அஹமத் பாகவி அவர்கள் இறையடி சேர்ந்தார்கள்

ஜமாஅத்தே இஸ்லாமி ஹிந்த் தமிழகத்தின் மூத்த தலைவர்களில் ஒருவரும், IFT வெளியிட்டுள்ள  திருக்குர்ஆன்  தமிழ் மொழிப்பெயர்ப்பாளருமான மெளலவி குத்புதீன் அஹமத் பாகவி அவர்கள் 6.11.2011 அன்று மாலை சிங்கப்பூரில் இறையடி சேர்ந்தார்கள்.  இன்னாலில்லாஹி வ இன்னா இலைஹி இராஜீவூன்.

தமிழகத்தில் இஸ்லாமிய இயக்கத்தை அனைத்து பகுதிகளில் வேரூன்ற செய்ததில் மிகப்பெரிய பங்காற்றியுள்ளார்கள். 

ஜமாஅத்தே இஸ்லாமி ஹிந்த் தமிழகத்தின் துணைத்தலைவராக பணியாற்றியுள்ளார்கள்.  மேலும் இறைமார்க்கத்தை மேலோங்க செய்கின்ற பணிகளில் தனது இறுதி காலம் வரை தொடர்ந்து பணியாற்றிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.  தனது 76 வயதிலும் இஸ்லாமிக் சென்டர் வேலூரில் நடைபெற்றுவரும் குல்லியத்துஸலாம் அரபிக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வராக பணியாற்றி வந்தார்கள்.

மௌலானா குத்புத்தீன் அஹ்மத் பாகவி குறித்து மௌலானா இஃஜாஸ் அஹ்மத் அஸ்லம்
அன்புக்கினிய நண்பர் மௌலானா குத்புத்தீன் அஹ்மத் பாகவி அவர்களுடன் எனக்கு நாற்பது ஆண்டுகளாக பழக்கம். திருச்சியைச் சேர்ந்தவர் அவர். சென்னையில் வில்லிவாக்கத்தில் பள்ளிவாசல் ஒன்றில் இமாமாகப் பணியாற்றி வந்தபோது ஜமாஅத்துடன் நெருக்கமானார். அதன் பிறகு தனது இறுதி மூச்சு வரை அவர் ஜமாஅத்துடன் இணைந்து இருந்தார்; இஸ்லாத்திற்காக சேவையாற்றுவதிலும், குர்ஆனின் செய்தியைப் பரப்புவதிலும், இஸ்லாமியக் கல்வியைப் போதிப்பதிலும் முழுமூச்சாக ஈடுபட்டார்.
 
அவர்  மிகவும் இனியவர்; கண்ணியமான மனிதர்; அதிகம் பேச மாட்டார்; அறிவும் தெளிவும் நிறைந்த அறிஞர். குர்ஆனைவும் நபிமொழியையும் நபிவழியையும் நன்றாக விளங்கிக் கொள்கின்ற ஆற்றலை அல்லாஹ் அவருக்கு நிறையவே அளித்திருந்தான். எந்தவொரு விஷயத்தை எடுத்துக்கொண்டாலும் அதன் அடி முதல் நுனி வரை மிக எளிதாக கணித்துக்கொள்கின்ற ஆற்றலையும் அல்லாஹ் அவருக்கு வழங்கியிருந்தான்.
 
குர்ஆனை தமிழில் மொழிபெயர்க்கின்ற சேவையில் அவர் தன்னை முழுமையாக அர்ப்பணித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். தமிழில் எளிய நடையில் இனிய மொழியில் மொழிபெயர்ப்பு கிடைப்பதற்கு அவர் பெரும் பங்காற்றினார். 
 
வாய்மையுடனும் உளத்தூய்மையுடனும் அவர் ஆற்றிய சேவைகள் அனைத்தையும் அல்லாஹ் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வானாக; அவருடைய பிழைகளைப் பொறுத்தருள்வானாக; அவருக்கு தன்னுடைய கருணையையும் கிருபையையும் அருள்வானாக; பாவங்களை மன்னித்தருள்வானாக; மறுமையில் முடிவே இல்லாத நிலையான வாழ்வின் மிக உயர்வான படித்தரங்களை வழங்குவானாக; அவருடைய குடும்பத்தாருக்கு அழகிய பொறுமையை மேற்கொள்கின்ற நற்பேற்றை அருள்வானாக என நான் அல்லாஹ்விடம் பிரார்த்திக்கின்றேன். 
 
அவருடைய ஆளுமையை ஹபீஸ் மீரட்டி என்கிற கவிஞரின் கவிதை வரிகளில் சொல்லி விடலாம்:

ஹயாத் ஜிஸ் கி அமானத் தீஹ் உஸ் கூ லோடா தீ 

மை ஆஜ் செய்ன் சே ஸோதா ஹூன் பாவுன் பெஹ்லாயே

வாழ்க்கை என்கிற இந்த அமானத்தை அதற்கு உரியவரிடம் ஒப்படைத்துவிட்டேன். 

இன்றைக்கு நிம்மதியாக உறங்குகின்றேன் கால்களை நீட்டிக்கொண்டு

மௌலானா  இஃஜாஸ் அஹ்மத் அஸ்லம் அவர்கள் வாணியம்பாடியைச் சார்ந்தவர். 1977 முதல் 1990 வரை ஜமாத்தே இஸ்லாமி ஹிந்தின் தமிழகத் தலைவராகப் பணியாற்றியவர். கடந்த 21 ஆண்டுகளாக ஜமாத்தே இஸ்லாமி ஹிந்தின் அகில இந்திய செயலாளராகச் சேவையாற்றி வருகின்றார்.

He was sobre, serious and soft spoken gentleman : Moulana Ejaz Ahmed Aslam

Moulana Qutbudeen Ahmed Baqawi has been my friend and comrade for the past four decades. He was from Trichy and got attached with the Islamic Movement when he was serving as an Imam in Villlivakkam, Chennai. He served for the cause of Islam, Quran and Islamic Education whole heartedly till his last breath.

He was a serious, sobre and soft spoken gentleman. He was a man of knowledge and God has provided him with the special gift of understanding the inner dimensions of Quran and Hadith.

He dedicated himself with the noble task of translating the word of God into Tamil. And with his major contribution the translation of the Holy Quran in Tamil was published. It is the simple, lucid and immensely captivating translation available in the market now.

May Allah accept his sincere services. May Allah forgive his shortcomings. May Allah bestow him with His rahmat and maqfirat and grant him higher rankings in the eternal abode of Jannah. May Allah bestow Sabr-e-Jameel to his family members. Aameen.

In the end one could personify the departed with the following lines from Hafeez Meerati :

Hayat jis ki amanat thee us ku lotaadee
main aaj chain se sotha hoon paaun pehlaye
I have returned the amanah of life to its owner
Today I stretch my legs and sleep merrily

Some reflections on the death of Moulana A Khutbudeen Ahmed Sahib: Muqeet Mujtaba Ali

Muqeet Mujtaba Ali, a long time associate, student and friend of Moulana A Khutbudeen Ahmed Baqawi Sahib writes the following:

Sitting in silence I recall my meeting with him at his house about four months ago. He compelled me to have tea with him. Neither he nor I knew that we were meeting for the last time.
Just a week ago, he had been to Singapore to meet his daughter there.
His wife and other children who wished him a happy journey never even dreamt that he will never come back.
Those who saw him off at the airport never knew that they were seeing him off forever.
The man, who is no more now, never knew that he is not going to meet his near and dear ones again. That his flight to Singapore was the last flight of his life!
His daughter in Singapore never knew that her father has come all along from Chennai to Singapore with an invisible ‘kafan’ wrapped over his body.
None realised that Allah was preparing for his burial in Singapore.
The deceased was a great scholar of Islam. He was the author and translator of many books in Tamil. His great contribution was the translation of Qur’an in Tamil language.
I pray to Allah to forgive all his sins and grant him the highest place in Jannah. Aameen.

Some Points to Think and Act Upon:
1. Death is certain. None can escape death. So I and you must be wise enough to prepare for the life after death.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلْتَنْظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ [٥٩:١٨
O Believers! fear Allah and let every person look and consider what he sends forward for the morrow. Fear Allah; Allah is well aware of all that you do. (Al-Hashr 59: 18)

2. The time of death is destined by Allah, the Giver of life, and the Taker of life. Neither the time of death can be advanced, nor can it be postponed.

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللَّهُ النَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِمْ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ وَلَٰكِنْ يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ [١٦:٦١
Were Allah to take people to task for their wrong-doing, He would not have spared even a single living creature on the face of the earth. But He grants them respite until an appointed term. And when that term arrives, they have no power to delay it by a single moment, nor to hasten it.(Al-Nahl 16: 61)

3. The Place where one will die is decided already by Allah. None except Allah knows the place of every man’s death.

…وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ …[٣١:٣٤
No soul knows in which land he will die!(Luqman 31: 34)
Kuthbudeen Sahib spent his entire life in Tamilnadu, India. His death was destined in Singapore. So Allah took him there in the evening of his life.
We must realise and understand very well that Allah drives a person out of his house and takes him to a place where he is destined to die, and he dies there.

… قُلْ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ لَبَرَزَ الَّذِينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَتْلُ إِلَىٰ مَضَاجِعِهِمْ ۖ ….[٣:١٥٤
Say: ‘Even if you had been in your houses, those for whom slaying had been appointed would have gone forth to the places where they were to be slain.’ (Al Imran 3 : 154)

4. Most important thing for a Muslim is to die in the state of Imaan.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ [٣:١٠٢
Believers! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and see that you do not die save in the state of submission to Allah.(Al 'Imran 3: 102)
This ayah, along with other verses, is recited during Nikkah, marriage sermon. Brides and bridegrooms are reminded of death even during the happiest occasion of their life: Your happiness is not permanent. Nor is your life! Prefer that which is permanent over that which is transitory.

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا [٨٧:١٦
وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ [٨٧:١٧
Nay! but you prefer the present life, whereas the Hereafter is better and longer lasting. (Al-A'la 87: 16-17)

தியாகத்திருநாள் நன்றாகக் கழிந்தது.

படுக்கப்போவதற்கு முன்பு வழக்கம்போல மின்னஞ்சல் பெட்டியைத் திறந்தபோதுதான் அந்தச் செய்தியைப் படித்தேன்.

மௌலானா குத்புத்தீன் அஹ்மத் பாகவி மறைந்துவிட்டார் என்கிற செய்தியை நண்பர் அனுப்பியிருந்தார்.

இன்னாலில்லாஹி வஇன்ன இலைஹி ராஜிவூன்

பெருநாள் அன்று மட்டுமே இருக்கக்கூடிய மகிழ்ச்சியும் மனநிறைவும் அந்தக் கணத்திலேயே அகன்றன.

இதயத்துக்கினியவர் எவராவது இறந்துபோகும் போது சோகம் மனத்தைக் கவ்வத்தானே செய்யும்.

மடியில் இருந்த கணிணித் திரையைப் பார்த்தவாறு உறைந்துபோனேன்.
அறையும் வீடும் நிசப்தத்தில் உறைந்திருக்க மௌலானாவைச் சந்தித்த அந்த நிமிடங்கள் மீண்டும் மனத்திரையில் ஓடின.

நான்கு மாதங்கள் கூட ஆகியிருக்காது.

வழக்கம்போல ஜமாஅத் அலுவலகத்திற்குச் சென்று எல்லோரையும் பார்த்து விசாரித்த பிறகு மௌலானாவைச் சந்திப்பதற்காக அவருடைய வீட்டுக்குப் போனேன். வற்புறுத்தி தேநீர் குடிக்க வைத்தார். அவரும் சரி, நானும் சரி தேநீருடன் அளவளாவிய அந்த மாலை வேளை தான் நாம் ஒருவரையொருவர் சந்திக்கின்ற கடைசி வேளை என்று இம்மியளவுகூட எண்ணிப் பார்க்கவில்லை.

மீண்டும் கணிணித் திரையில் தெரிந்த அந்த வலைப்பூ வாசகங்களை வாசித்தேன்.

ஒரு வாரத்திற்கு முன்பு தான் அவர் தனது மகளைப் பார்ப்பதற்காக சிங்கப்பூர் போய் இருக்கின்றார். கடல் கடந்து நெடும்பயணம் கிளம்பிய அவரை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அனுப்பி வைத்த அவருடைய குடும்பத்தார் அதுதான் அவருடைய கடைசி பயணம் என்கிற விவரம் தெரிந்திருக்கவில்லை.
விமான நிலையம் வரை சென்று அவரை வழியனுப்பி வைத்தவர்கள் அவரை நிரந்தரமாக வழியனுப்பிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றோம் என நினைத்தும் பார்த்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

இனி இயக்கத் தோழர்களையும் குடும்பத்தாரையும் மீண்டும் சந்திக்கின்ற வாய்ப்பே தனக்குக் கிடைக்காது என விமானம் ஏறிய அவருக்கும் தெரிந்திருக்கவில்லை. அந்த விமானப் பயணம் தான் தனது வாழ்வின் கடைசிப் பயணம் என்றும் நினைத்துக்கூடப் பார்த்திருக்க மாட்டார்.

சிங்கப்பூரில் இருக்கின்ற அவருடைய மகளுக்கும் சென்னையிலிருந்து சிங்கப்பூர் வரை பறந்து வந்திருக்கின்ற தனது தந்தையார் எவருடைய கண்களுக்கும் புலப்படாத கஃபன் துணியைக் கட்டிக் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றார் என்பது தெரியாமலே போயிற்று. 

சிங்கப்பூரில் அவருடைய நல்லடக்கத்திற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை அல்லாஹ் செய்துகொண்டிருந்தது எவருக்குமே தெரிந்திருக்கவில்லை.

மௌலானா குத்புத்தீன் அஹ்மத் பாகவி நாடறிந்த எழுத்தாளர்; பன்னூலாசிரியர்; மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர். திருக்குர்ஆனை தமிழில் மொழிபெயர்க்கின்ற பணியில் அவருடைய பங்களிப்பும் பங்கேற்பும் மகத்தானது. அல்லாஹ் அவருடைய நற்பணிகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வானாக! அவருடைய பாவங்களை மன்னிப்பானாக! ஆமீன்.
அவருடை மரணம் எழுப்பிய சில சிந்தனைகளை இங்கே பகிர்ந்துகொள்கின்றேன்.

சிந்திப்போம்! செயல்படுவோம்!

 1. மரணத்தைத் தவிர்க்க முடியாது.

மரணம் நிச்சயமான ஒன்று. எனவே, அந்த மரணத்திற்காகவும் அதன் பிறகு வரவிருக்கின்ற மறுமை வாழ்வுக்காகவும் நீங்களும் நானும் தக்க ஆயத்தங்களைச் செய்ய வேண்டும். இந்த விஷயத்தில் விழிப்புடன் செயலாற்ற வேண்டும்.

இறைநம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! அல்லாஹ்-வுக்கு அஞ்சுங்கள். மேலும், ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனும், நாளைய தினத்திற்காக எதனைத் தயார் செய்து வைத்திருக்கின்றான் என்று பார்க்கட்டும். அல்லாஹ்-வுக்கு அஞ்சிய வண்ணம் இருங்கள். நீங்கள் செய்யும் செயல்கள் அனைத்தையும் திண்ணமாக அல்லாஹ் அறிபவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.                     

(அத்தியாயம் 59 அல்ஹஷர் : 18)

2. உயிரைக் கொடுப்பவனும் இறைவன்தான். உயிரைப் பறிப்பவனும் அவனே. அவனே மரணத்திற்கான தேதியையும் நேரத்தையும் குறிக்கின்றான். அதனைத் தவிர்க்கவோ, தாமதப்படுத்தவோ, தள்ளிப்போடவோ, முடியாது.

மனிதர்கள் இழைக்கும் அக்கிரமங்களுக்காக அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை (உடனுக்குடன்) பிடிப்ப-தாயிருந்தால், பூமியில் எந்த உயிரினத்தையும் அவன் விட்டு வைத்திருக்க மாட்டான்! ஆயினும், ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட தவணை வரை அவர்களுக்கு அவன் அவகாசம் அளிக்கின்றான். பிறகு அந்த நேரம் வந்துவிடுமாயின் ஒரு வினாடிகூட அவர்-களால் பிந்தவும் முடியாது; முந்தவும் முடியாது.                              (அத்தியாயம் 16: அந்நஹ்ல் : 61)

3. ஒருவர் எங்கே எப்படி மரணமடைவார் என்பதை இறைவன் ஏற்கனவே தீர்மானித்து விட்டான்.

 இறைவனைத் தவிர வேறு எவருக்கும் அது பற்றிய தகவல் தெரியாது.

தான் எந்தப் பூமியில் மரணமடைவோம் என்பதும் எந்த மனிதருக்கும் தெரியாது.                                 (அத்தியாயம் 31 : 34)

மௌலானா குத்புத்தீன் அஹ்மத் பாகவி சாகிப் தம்முடைய வாழ்நாள் முழுவதையும் தமிழ்நாட்டில் தான் கழித்தார். ஆனால் சிங்கப்பூர்தான் அவரது மரணக்களம் என ஏற்கனவே தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. இதனால் அவருடைய வாழ்வின் கடைசி நாட்களில் அல்லாஹ் அவரை சிங்கப்பூருக்கு எடுத்துக் கொண்டு போனான்.

ஒருவர் எந்த இடத்தில் மரணமடைய வேண்டும் என்று விதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றதோ அந்த இடத்திற்கு அல்லாஹ் அவரை அவருடைய இடத்திலிருந்து கிளப்பிக் கொண்டு போகின்றான் என்பதை நாம் நன்றாகப் புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும்.

நீர் கூறும்: ‘நீங்கள் உங்கள் வீடுகளில் அடைந்திருந்தாலும் யாருடைய விதியில் மரணம் எழுதப்பட்டு விட்டதோ, அவர்கள் தம் மரணக்களங்களை நோக்கி வந்தே தீருவர்!‘                        

(அத்தியாயம் 3: ஆலுஇம்ரான் : 154)

4. மரணிக்கும்போது இறைநம்பிக்கை இருக்கின்ற நிலையில் மரணிக்க வேண்டும். இதுதான் எல்லாவற்றையும் விட முக்கியமானதாகும்.

‘இறைநம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்ச வேண்டிய முறைப்படி அஞ்சுங்கள். மேலும் நீங்கள் முஸ்லிம்களாக அன்றி மரணமடைய வேண்டாம்.                                 (அத்தியாயம் 3 ஆலுஇம்ரான் : 102)

இந்த வசனம் நிகாஹ் குத்பாவில் திருமணச் சொற்பொழிவில் ஓதப்படுகின்றது.

அதாவது மணமக்களுக்கு மரணம் குறித்து நினைவூட்டப்படுகின்றது. அவர்களுடைய வாழ்வின் மிக மிக சந்தோஷமான வேளையில் மகிழ்ச்சி பொங்குகின்ற தருணத்தில் அவர்களுக்கு மரணத்தைக் குறித்து நினைவூட்டப்படுகின்றது.

இதற்கு என்ன பொருள்?

உங்களுடைய இந்த மகிழ்ச்சியும் சந்தோஷமும் நிலையானதன்று. அது போலத்தான் உங்களுடைய வாழ்வும். எனவே நிலையில்லாத இந்த வாழ்வை விட நிலையான மறுமை வாழ்வுக்கு அதிக முன்னுரிமை தாருங்கள்.

ஆனால், நீங்கள் இம்மை வாழ்வுக்கே முன்னுரிமை அளிக்கின்றீர்கள். உண்மையில், மறுமையே மிகவும் மேலானதாகவும், நிலைத்து நிற்கக்கூடியதாகவும் இருக்கின்றது.                              (அத்தியாயம் 87 அல் அஃலா : 16, 17)

5. பின்வரும் துஆவை ஜனாஸா தொழுகையில் மட்டுமின்றி அடிக்கடி ஓதுவதை நாம் பழக்கப்-படுத்திக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

‘இறைவனே! நம்மில் உயிருடன் வாழ்வின் எவரையும் இறைநம்பிக்கை உள்ள நிலையில் வாழச் செய்வாயாக! நம்மில் மரணிக்கின்ற எவரையும் இறைநம்பிக்கை உள்ள நிலையில் மரணிக்கச் செய்வாயாக!

எனக்கு இன்னொரு துஆவும் மிகவும் பிடிக்கும். யூசுப் நபி செய்த துஆ அது:

வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் படைத்தவனே! நீதான் இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் என் பாதுகாவலன். நான் இஸ்லாத்தில் இருக்கும் நிலையிலேயே என்னை மரணிக்கச் செய்வாயாக! மேலும் என்னை ஒழுக்கசீலர்களுடன் சேர்ப்பாயாக!                                  

(அத்தியாயம் 12 : யூசுப் : 101)

அல்லாஹ் நம் அனைவருக்கும் இறைநம்பிக்கையின்படி வாழ்கின்ற, அந்த நிலையிலேயே மரணிக்கின்ற நற்பேற்றைத் தந்தருள்வானாக! அதறகான வழிகாட்டுதலையும் நல்லருளையும் தந்தருள்வானாக!

What change you find in the Jamaat’s work?
There was a time, say up to first forty years of the Jamaat’s formation that everyone was very sincere without any concern about personal amenities. Now the situation has changed. Even full time workers’ officialdom and personal concerns have increased at the cost of sincerity. Now it has a become a routine job beginning at, say, 9 A.M. and continuing up to, say, 5 P.M. Earlier the atmosphere was of total devotion to the object of the Jamaat. There are exceptions, no doubt, but my feeling is based on overall atmosphere.

What are your engagements these days?
After retirement from the Jamaat I have kept myself busy in translation work into the Hindi language. I have translated Bukhari in three volumes. A publisher provides me books for translation and I do the job. My pen has not retired.

A towering personality among Muslims

Moulana Kausar Yazdani was not just a journalist or writer, but an active worker and a leader also. He became chief of J. I. H. (Delhi & Haryana State) in 1979 and remained so till 1995. At that time, he used to start his day before morning prayers (salat Fajr), read daily news paper and wrote editorial, etc. Later, he worked for the Kanti till about 1’o clock. After 3 or 5’o clock in the afternoon, to 11 in the night, he spent his time, visiting different places of Delhi & Haryana for Dawah and Islamic awekening. It was his daily routine. In 1995 he was called to central office of the Jamaat as its all India secretary to look after the Dawah work from which he just retired. Nadvi translated about 40 books in Hindi and wrote a dozen books.

Moulana Kausar Yazdani was laid to rest in New Delhi

Maulana Dr. Kausar Yazdani, a renowned Islamic scholar, author, journalist, activist and former Secretary for Dawah, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), breathed his last on August 29 at his residence in New Delhi following a brief illness. He was 76.

His funeral prayer was led by Amir JIH Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Omari after Zuhr prayers on August 30. He was laid to rest in Batla House Graveyard. He left behind three sons and one daughter.

"Don't call him Veer Savarkar"

Veteran Writer, political commentator, social activist Chinna Kuthoosi @ Thiyagarajan passed away on 22nd May. I have met this legendary writer a couple of times. Once with Marhoom Moulana M A Jameel Ahmed Sahib and many times with our own kavinjar Moosa Kaka.

He was very receptive. always to the point. I remember during a discussion I inadvertantly uttered the name Veer Savarkar. He immediately corrected me. "Don't say Veer Savarkar. He is just Savarkar. What has he done to be called Veer Savarkar? He wrote an apology letter to the British to reduce his prison term".

Then once when prominent cartoonist Irfan Hussain of Outlook was murdered by unidentified persons in New Delhi we had published a collection of cartoons of Irfan Hussain with a four line message at the end in Samarasam. Chinna Kuthoosi liked it. He admired the choice of the cartoons. They were all famous cartoons of Irfan Hussain ridiculing the hindutva ways of L K Advani, M M Joshi etc. He liked the subtle suggestion hidden behind the choice of the cartoons and the four line message. When I heard it I was at cloud nine.

Najmuddin Erbakan, Moulana Moududi and Hasan al Banna Shaheed

The departure of Najmuddin Erbakan (Necmettin Erbakan) is a great tragedy of our times. Najmuddin Erbakan could be truly called as the modern icon of Islamic Movement. He was a epoch making personality and one of the architects of modern history. The way vast multitudes of people thronged in his last journey and the way young and old, known and unknown people showered their love and affection towards their departed leader speaks volumes about the stature of the leader. It epitomises the overwhelming sway he held over the Islam loving people throughout the world. It also illustrates the deep impact he made throughout the Muslim world with his untiring struggle for the cause of Islam.

One of the famous poems of Allama Iqbal is Tulu Islam (The Rise of Islam). In it Allama succinctly and beautifully depicts the rise and renaissance of Islam throughout the world once again. The words mellow you. The poet of the East has listed out various factors leading to the renaissance of Islam in the world. One of the factors highlighted by the Allama is as follows:

Ataa momin ko phir dargaah-e-haq sey honay walaa hai

Shikoh-e-turkmaani, zahan hindi, nataq aaraabi

The Muslim is to be endowed again from the God’s  Court with

Turkman’s grandeur, Indian’s wisdom, Arab’s eloquence

The prophecy of the Allama had blossomed into reality soon after his demise. Moulana Syed Abul A'ala Moududi personified Zahan hindi (Wisdom of Indian) in the 20th century. Undoubtedly Moulana's real and major contribution could be termed as idealogical and intellectual contribution. He stimulated the intellect and presented the Islamic thought in its glorious form. At those times the critics of Islam were hell-bent in attacking Islam in all possible ways. Moulana effectively silenced them with his thought provoking, down to the earth and intellectually stimulating rejoinders. Besides he gave shape to the Islamic Idealogy and with his endeavours Islam rose to greater heights as an Ideological power house.

During the same period the Arab world witnessed the rise of two towering personalities viz Hasan al Banna Shaheed and Syed Qutb Shaheed in Egypt. These legendery leaders known for their superb communicaion skills, eloquence and power of speech mesmerised the Islamic world. They were the primary architects of Islamic renaissance in the Arab world.


Twentieth century witnessed Islamic revival in larger scale throughout the world. Infact it could be easily termed as the century in which Zahan Hindi (Wisdom of Indian) and Nataq A'arabi (Eloquence of Arab)  flourished and had lasting impact. The mammoth contribution of Moulana Moududi in the intellectual arena pointed to the dream of Allama Iqbal's Zahan Hindi (Wisdom of Indian). Similarly the emotional appeal and action packed contribution of Hasan al Banna and the Ikhwan symbolised Allama Iqbal's Nataq A'arabi. The beautiful and forceful convergence of Intellect and emotion triggered a new wave of Islamic Renaissance throughout the Islamic world. This new wave of synergy influenced and altered the course of the century.

The outcome of that synergy of intellect and emotion could be seen everywhere. Some eighty years back, Muslims were wary of revealing their Muslim identiy. They were diffident and hesitant to proclaim themselves as Muslims. But, today one can see mind boggling confidence and exuberance among the Muslims throughout the world.

The rise of Islam as the biggest force in the intellectual and idealogical world is one of the fruitful culmination of thes two great men. Infact Islam has emerged as the Idealogical super power of our times.
In this way the dream of Zahan Hindi and Nataq A'arabi of Allama Iqbal were fulfilled. Shikoh Turkmani was the one which needed to be fulfilled. And it take long time. It got culminated in the fag end of the twentieth century with the rise of Marhoom Najmuddin Erbakan as the symbol of Shikoh Turkmani. He gave new vigour and power to Islam and created shock and awe among the Baatil.

The role of the Turks had been significant in the entire history of Islam. They were in the forefront in propagating and safeguarding Islam. They had plaved a major role in the history of Islam. Allama Iqbal had symbolised the grandeur, dignity and respect as Shikoh. Turks had increased the grandeur to manifold.

The return of the Turks to the Islamic camp, I feel, is the biggest event of the twenty first century. And Najmuddin Erbakan had played a vital role in this historic turnaround.

What is Shikoh-e-Turkmani?

If you want to feel the impact of Shikoh-e-Turkmani just go through the numerous write-ups, comments and observations published in American and western magazines. They scream with the provocative heading "The return of Ottomans" and depict the shock and awe that has engulfed the western psyche.

If you want to feel the Shikoh-e-Turkmani go to You Tube and just see the mesmerising speech of Tayyip Erdogon which he delivered in the Summit held at Davos. He lambasts the Israelie Prime Minister.

ரயில் நிலையம் நிரம்பி வழிந்தது.
அந்த நடைமேடையில் பெரும் எண்ணிக்கையில் மக்கள் திரண்டிருந்தனர். அவர்களில் முஸ்லிம்கள் கணிசமாக இருந்தனர். திரும்பும் திசையெல்லாம் வெள்ளை தொப்பிகளும், கருந்தாடிகளுமாக சூழலே வித்தியாசமாக இருந்தது.
ரயில் நிலையமே விழாக் கோலம் பூண்டிருந்தது போல தோன்றியது.

Your attention please.... பயணிகளின் அன்பான கவனத்திற்கு.... என அறிவிப்பாளரின் குரல் ஒலித்ததும் ரயில் நிலையமே சிலிர்த்தெழுந்தது..!
போர்ட்டர்கள் முண்டாசு கட்டிக் கொண்டு, துண்டு பீடியை தூர எறிந்தவாறு ரயிலை எதிர்கொள்ள ஆயத்தமாகினர்.
ரயில் வந்தது.
முஸ்லிம்கள் அனைவரும் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட பெட்டியை நோக்கி படையெடுத்தனர்.
அந்தப் பெட்டியிலிருந்து இறங்கினார், மௌலானா முஜாஹிதுல் இஸ்லாம் காசிமி.

மௌலானா ஏதாவது சொல்லுங்கள்..அறிவுரை கூறுங்கள்..!மௌலானாவுக்கு பொன்னாடை போர்த்தப்பட்டது. சிரித்த முகத்துடன் மௌலானா கை குலுக்கினார். நலம் விசாரித்தார்.

பச்சை விளக்கு எரிந்து விட மீண்டும் வண்டியில் ஏறி விட்டார்.

நடை மேடையில் நின்ற மக்கள் அன்போடு கேட்டார்கள் : Moulana kuch nasihat keejiye..! மௌலானா ஏதாவது சொல்லுங்கள்..அறிவுரை கூறுங்கள்..!

வண்டி மெல்ல நகரத் தொடங்கியது..!

மௌலானா சொன்னார்: Muthahid rahiye..! muththahrik rahiye..! முத்தஹித் ரஹியே..! முத்தஹ்ரிக் ரஹியே..! ஒன்றுபட்டு இருங்கள்..! சுறுசுறுப்பாக இயங்கிக் கொண்டே இருங்கள்..!

இன்றும் நமக்குத் தேவைப் படுகிறார்கள்..!
அவர் தான் மௌலானா முஜாஹிதுல் இஸ்லாம் காசிமி. கடுகு சிறுத்தாலும் காரம் சிருக்கது என்பதைப் போல எத்துணை அழகாக இரண்டே வார்த்தைகளில் சொல்லி விட்டார்!
மௌலானா மிகப் பெரும் பேச்சாளர். மணிக்கணக்கில் சலிப்புத் தட்டாமல் பேசுவதில் வல்லவர்.

2002 இல் இதே ஏப்ரல் மாதத்தில் 4 ஆம் நாள் அன்று காலமானார். (இன்னா லில்லாஹி..)

ICU இல் மரணப் படுக்கையில் இருந்த நேரத்திலும் நினைவு திரும்பும் போதெல்லாம் குஜராத் நிலவரம் குறித்து தான் விசாரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

அவரைப் போன்ற ஆலிம்கள் தான் இன்றும் நமக்குத் தேவைப் படுகிறார்கள்..!
அல்லாஹ் கிருபை செய்வானாக..!

The story of a dayee with a smiling face and sparkling eyes!

This post is about Br Abdul Muheeth Siddiqui.
I have known Abdul Muheeth for the past twenty years. He is from Nizamabad and was attached with SIO there.

He used to visit Jamaat Office way back in late 1980s when I was serving as Office Secretary. He was doing some business and used to make frequent trips to Srivilliputhur. On his way to Srivilliputhur, he would always make it a point to stay in Jamaat Office (Chennai) for a day or two.

He was a very soft spoken youth and always remained calm and composed. But I distinctly remember the spark in his eyes. He was very passionate in doing Islamic Dawah and his passion reflected in his sparkling eyes. He would always bring some brothers, friends with him.

As days rolled on, his visits became less frequent and due to various developments the chance of meeting him got dimmer and dimmer. But, time and again, in a flash, his smiling face would emerge from nowhere in my mind and I used to cherish his fond memories. And I used to inquire about him whenever I meet some tahreeki brother from Andhra Pradesh.

Br. Muheeth, as it turned up, was very active in Jamaat activities. His circle of friends was very wide. He had just two motives. One, to reform the Muslim Youth and mould them into good Da'ees. Two, to convey the message of Islam to non-Muslim Youth.

Then one Thursday evening came a shocker. I was browsing the Sehroza Dawat when my eyes captured the headings and I could not believe it.

It was an obituary on Br. Abdul Muheeth!
Inna lillahi va inna ilaihi rajeewoon.

The obituary was written by a SIO friend. He has shed light on some aspects of the deceased brother. They are worth sharing:

Br. Abdul Muheeth had the knack of making friendships easily; He was seen invariably amidst a bunch of friends and well-wishers.

He had a tender heart which would melt in no time. The Prophet of Islam has taught us a beautiful way to win others: Give Gifts, Say Salam. Br. Muqeeth didn't stop himself with mentioning this beautiful gem of an advice in his speeches. He practised it.

Feeding the hungry is his favourite amal-e-salih. During Ramazan his house would become a hostel. More than ten to twelve students would be staying in his house. And his mother would never get tired making elaborate arrangements of Sahr and Iftar for these youth of various backgrounds.
He used to give scholarships to many students.

Abdul Muheeth Siddiqui is no more today. He passed away few months back when he was returning from Hyderabad in a car accident.
Thousands of well wishders and friends thronged to attend his Janaza prayer. Hundreds of non-Muslims came with a heavy heart and gazed the proceedings.

May Allah forgive him and grant him exalted place in Jannat.

A memorable evening in Delhi...!

I want to share with you an insight which I got from Moulana Muhammad Farooq Khan.

Moulana Muhammad Farooq Khan is the member of Majlis-e-Numaindgan (central council of representatives) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. He is one of the old vanguards of the Tahreek-e-Islami and resides in Delhi. He has written a lot of books in Urdu and Hindi. He is well versed in both the languages. He has translated Quran in Hindi. But his magnum opus is Kalam-e-Nubuwat, a collection of Ahadith in five, six volumes. He could be easily termed as the living legend in the field of Islamic literature. As I have been reading his books for the past two decades, I feel very close to him. For me, not a day passes without reading Kalam-e-Nubuwat. Besides I have been translating his works in Tamil. Chehal Hadhis has been published as Nabi mozhi Narpadhu.
I have met him on two occasions. Once when he delivered a lecture in an all India SIO meet. Next in his room in the second storey of an non-descript building in Old Delhi. I had made up my mind to meet him when I boarded the train in Chennai. By the grace of Allah, we got ourself free at the last day. My colleagues wanted to roam the historic places in Delhi. I cajoled them and virtually dragged them to the room of Moulana Farooq Khan Sahib. It was a brief meeting but It was a memorable evening. Moulana was sitting amidst books.
What he said could be summed up as the following:

There are three essential needs which mould a personality. Without fulfilling this needs one cannot become a wholesome personality.
The three needs are as follows.
First, You ought to have some thing to do.
One cannot remain idle. It is not human nature to remain idle. Man has to do something. Idle mind is devil's workshop. Men do various things. Men get engaged in various occupations to keep themselves occupied. The list of trades, professions, crafts, jobs and careers never ends. But the best thing to do is to do dawah. The best career option is to get engaged in Dawah.
Second, You ought to have some thing to love.
One cannot live with profession, job or business alone. Day in and day out you do a lot of things. But that is not sufficient to nourish your inner soul. Your heart longs to love and to be loved. Naturally men love. Their love knows no bounds. Men love their wives, their sweet little children, their apparels, their face, their language, their organisation, their country, their matinee idol and the list goes on. But the best of them is the love towards God. Love of God is the supreme thing in life. It is the ultimate. You have to research and find out whom does God love? And strive to become one. Besides you should love your Creator more than anything and everything in this mundane life.
Third, You ought to have some thing to hope.
Man exists because of his hope. He may do a lot of things. He may love his job. He may be passionate about many things. But still he needs some thing to hope. Why does he work? Why does he go to faraway lands? Why does he do so many things? Because of Hope. Because of hope that one day he would get a beautiful palace overlooking the sea shore. Of hope that he would be driving in the latest model of car. Of hope that his offsprings would get decent education. The list of hopes and dreams is simply endless.
But the best thing to hope is hope of falah in the Hereafter.
I still remember the day when Moulana Farooq Khan Sahib conveyed this message in his own style; in his own choice of sweetest, chaste words in Urdu. Br Shabeer Ahmed, present Ameer-e-Halqa and Br Muhammad Yahya of AIITA were with me. I remember the haste with which I jostled down the words in an old diary.

Moulana gave me the diary as I asked him paper to take notes. The diary with notes is with me. I will share with you the other notes when next time, Insha Allah.
